Executive Team

Diego Prats / Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Diego leads business development, engineering, and financing for Border Stylo. Diego’s training in operations research and mathematics has honed his natural ability to think analytically and ask the right questions in a variety of situations. Diego’s habit of questioning assumptions gets the people around him to push themselves—and technology—to the limits. His prior experience includes developing and analyzing marketing models at Procter & Gamble, and developing mathematical models to help plan for terrorist events at a Homeland Security-sponsored think-tank.

Diego is on leave from a PhD program in Industrial Engineering with a focus on mathematical optimization at the University of Southern California. He holds an undergraduate degree in economics from Harvard University.

Eduardo Prats / Co-founder & Lead Designer

Ed had the original idea for Glass. He leads product development and design at Border Stylo. Ed brings an intense passion for technology, on both the development and design side. Growing up in Mexico, he would listen to podcasts, read case studies, and absorb every bit of information about consumer technology he could find—from industrial design cycles for USB storage devices to search engine development methods.

Ed studied industrial engineering at one of Mexico’s premier universities, Universidad Iberoamericana. He deferred attendance at a graduate program in video game development to start Border Stylo.

Oscar Guido / Co-founder & Chief Operating Officer

Oscar Guido brings over six years of strategy, financing, business and legal affairs experience in entertainment finance and technology to his role as Founder/COO at Border Stylo.

Prior to Border Stylo, Guido held a position at Fox Searchlight where he gained invaluable experience in determining what sells, and how to push a project through financing and production to completion. Before Joining Fox Searchlight, Guido worked in business and legal affairs at New Line Cinema for two years, where he was responsible for negotiating deals as well as managing crisis situations among agents, studios, and producers.

Guido holds an MFA from the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California and a BA from Harvard University.

Dan Yoder / Chief Technology Officer

Dan Yoder manages all things engineering at Border Stylo, bringing over twenty-five years of experience in software engineering, including key roles at numerous start-ups.

Most recently, Yoder helped launch SharesPost (the first and largest private equity exchange), attracting $200M in posts from over 7,000 members in its first 3 months. He had a hands-on role involving all aspects of design and development, taking a demonstration prototype and turning it into a scalable and reliable exchange.

Prior to Border Stylo Yoder worked at AT&T’s Interactive Research and Development group, where he led the strategic capability development for the Web, Mobile, and IPTV market leader. In addition to Yoder’s strategic development projects he delivered one of the first voice-based local search applications for the iPhone in partnership with AT&T Labs. Yoder also deployed consumer research prototypes with more than 1M downloads across both iPhone and Android platforms.

Yoder is the author of several popular open source projects, a frequent speaker on Web architecture, and recognized authority on social media, with popular articles appearing on Gizmodo, Slashdot, Business Insider, and the international press.

Dan holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Michigan, where he specialized in distributed AI.
