As some of you may know, we’re a Tech company based in Los Angeles (strange, right?). LA is known for people making big statements, after all our malls look like theme parks, but that’s not where our quirkiness ends. There’s an interesting phenomenon in LA that some people love while others only hate (I’m a lover, not a hater), and this phenomenon is the ‘gourmet’ food truck.
Yep, trucks that serve fancy food and I love them. I find them awesome for 3 reasons:
1. Specialized food and menus — you only have like 8 choices so I’m not frozen by too big a menu.
2. They’re tasty. Some better than others, but, seriously, who can resist Red Velvet Pancake bites?
3. Food that comes to ME! I’m not a lazy individual, but try to wipe the smile off my face as I turn the corner to work and a pancake truck is sitting out front. You can’t deny the awesomeness of that. I have delicious food steps from my chair.

Now that my tummy is all warm and full (and the truck has gone), I sit here in anticipation of the next day I make that turn and find the kebab truck or the french fry truck or Korean BBQ taco truck or the nom nom truck or any of the other mobile food fusions at our front door. Oh happy day!
PS, the marketing dept has a great vantage point of the trucks that come by so we’re always in the know. If you want to get to know your food trucks, you can check out findlafoodtrucks.com. Seems like New York and Ptown (Portland, OR, where I’m from) have picked up the craze, too. (cue ‘The More You Know’ shooting star thing)
